UAE Visa: Now Foreign Students Can Sponsor Their Families

Enrolling in a study program at universities in Dubai has provided a platform for thousands of international students to get an excellent education and secure employment in a thriving international business hub and to make their life in this exciting city.

According to the new UAE residency policy, foreign students who are financially capable can sponsor their families. UAE universities provide visas to expatriate students which allows them to study and reside in the country for a 12 month (renewable) period, to cover the duration of the program.

However, the new rule enables students to apply for a golden visa which allows them to stay for 5 years in the country. During this period, if the students are financially capable then they can sponsor their family. This decision was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on 24 January 2021. The new visa policy will definitely attract more expatriate students to internationally accredited universities in UAE, especially the ones who are married and have dependents. Now let’s take a look at the criteria for UAE golden visa.
